Edward Heneage Primary Academy

It is our intention to ignite a real love of learning by providing a rich, varied and exciting curriculum that meets the needs of each and every individual.

Sports

EHPA are able to provide their students with an extensive range of sports provision.

Not only do our students have access to high quality, sports-specific P.E lessons to meet the needs of the new National P.E Curriculum, they also have access to a number of after school clubs to support their development by acquiring new skills and enhancing their current ability levels.

The progress of our students has led to EHPA entering several local sports competitions against other schools, something which has been quite new to many of our students but equally exciting and rewarding.

Our students have been fortunate enough to reap the benefits of our Academy's wonderful sponsor DRET, who have been pivotal in providing opportunities to meet elite sporting stars from past and present. Students have had the chance to meet many who have represented Great Britain, England or other nations around the world in events such as the Rugby World Cup, Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, European/World Championships and many more - with some even bringing their medals to show our students what they could one day achieve for themselves.

Our PE curriculum is led by our PE curriculum lead, Mrs Marshall and supported by our Sports Practitioner Miss Cook.
