Fantastic footballers

It’s been an exciting half term for the EHPA football team as they’ve been involved in many matches and competitions.

The first competition they entered was the Welholme Trophy held at Old Clee Primary Academy. The boys worked tremendously hard in all three matches against St. James, Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe and Scartho Junior Academy. Our team managed to draw the first game against St. James, followed by a narrow loss to Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe and a convincing defeat against a vastly experienced and talented Scartho Junior Academy side.

Following this, there were two fixtures in consecutive weeks against familiar foes. Firstly, we faced St. James in the Small Schools (under forty five year six students) Cup Competition in a quarter final match. After falling behind early, the team managed to find their rhythm and ended up convincing winners by seven goals to two, booking their place in the semi-finals in March 2016.

The second of these games was against Scartho Junior Academy. In a one-sided affair, the game finished 11-1 to Scartho, but special mention must go to our boys who managed to win one period 1-0.

We are looking forward to more matches - especially our semi final!
