Dynamic Dodgeball Team Success!

On Friday 8th January, Edward Heneage Primary Academy took part in the N.E.Lincs School Sports Partnership Dodgeball Competition at Oasis Academy Wintringham, Grimsby.

It was the first time that EHPA have entered this event and after taking part in several dodgeball sessions during breakfast clubs, lunch time clubs and after school clubs, we selected our team.

The 12 schools involved were split into four groups of 3. Our team won their first two group matches convincingly which meant we were the group winners, qualifying for the finals which would decide the overall competition winners.

The final round saw the team come up against the other group winners, including our friends from across town Fairfield Academy, another member of the DRET family.

After a very close game against one of the Fairfield teams, which our team narrowly won, the EHPA team were ruthless in beating both Great Coates and a second Fairfield team respectively, resulting in them being crowned dodgeball champions!

This was an unbelievable achievement considering it was their first ever appearance at the dodgeball competition.

The team will now advance to the Humber finals, along with runners up and fellow DRET member Fairfield Academy, which will take place on Tuesday, 22nd March in Hull.

Congratulations to all those involved and good luck in the next round of the competition!!!
